You don't have to! Check this out... you can actually buy a copy of Windows and install it on non-Microsoft-built hardware! All you have to do is install it on the minimum hardware requirements. This is a well-kept secret, but you can even buy a computer piece by piece and assemble it yourself!
Linux too!

didn't you read the sign? don't clog the tubes.
I did try installing Chrome under CrossOver, but the installer completed instantly without doing anything. I can wait for a native version.

I didn't say good. I said Not Evil. There's a middle ground.
I wonder if there's an about:foo that will take you to a site linking a certain computer vendor with serial killers. Nah, that would probably make one of the managers at Google very mad once it hit the press and they'd take away the Chrome team's 20% time. ;)
I finally got around to playing with it -- it reminds me a lot of Netscape 3 for UNIX with the menu bar and status bar turned off. | |
