That's pretty cool. Do you know where the source video is? My curiosity is piqued. I want to see these creepy robot women un-edited.

Is it just my perception or something wrong with these women's voices and facial expressions? They all sound and look like aged Barbies.

Hey... I think these three are from Star Trek. The Menagerie if I'm not mistaken. Or was it 'This Island Earth'? Or maybe Mothra. Damn.

"It's our ranch, it's our home"

I swear I'll be humming that for days.

Cozy little Stockholm Syndrome Rape Factory CostCo Wives (more than a few steps below the Stepford Wives), please notice that your husbands and the "Uncles" of your children are below the radar of the media.

"I'll give you a choice. You can either marry this incredibly lifelike robot..."

"Hell no!"

"Or you can marry this woman raised in the polygamist compound near Eldorado, Texas."

"... uh ..."

"Well?"

"Can I take a look at the robot again?"

Since when is it OK, in a free society, to come in and take children from their mothers by force??? No investigation, no due process, no nothing. And no public outrage? WTF is wrong with you people?

Word.

A person calls claiming to live there, claiming to be 16, and claiming to be married to an abusive man. This person has not been located. And that's all it takes to forcibly remove an entire communities children, and round up the women like cattle? It's sick.

Have some compassion

You don't know the extent of the entire case and you don't know exactly how it went down either. If police think there is a crime in progress, and by the girl's call (assuming it really happened) that may be sufficient reason, they can go in without warrants. There might also be more evidence that has not been released yet.

My heart goes out to those kids, and I'm very sorry for the grief and pain they & their mothers are going through, but they are NOT law-abiding citizens if they are marrying off juveniles by force, or even if willingly, then if those men are beating them and having sex with them, they are breaking the law.

The Supreme Court ruling upholding the law against polygamy in the 1800s is one of the court cases that established that your religious beliefs don't entitle you to behave however you like. This law was upheld against Mormon fundamentalists like these, and one of the problems was exactly what is alleged to be going on here - underage girls being forced to marry.

I'm not outraged one way or the other, because I don't have all the information to know whether there is any substance to anybody's claims. Nobody should be jumping to any conclusions. My feeling is a lot of bias is there because they are religious and they dress funny and live in a compound ranch. At the same time those three women in the interview looked extremely scared. I strongly suspect they are covering something up, based on their body language and facial expressions. But keep in mind they could be being coerced. I'm not sure at this point all of those women can realistically be held responsible for their actions. People should consider that they could very well be victims too, rather than demeaning them as "Stepford wives." They have my pity more than anything else.
