in firefox select all and then right click to "view selection source" this will show you the html corresponding to what is currently on your screen after all the javascript has run.

You haven't actually tried this, I assume. In Firefox, "Select All" does nothing on that page, and does not cause "View Selection Source" to appear.

Anyway, I use Safari.

I don't know about his wacky suggestion, but Firefox + Firebug let me view the DOM, which was handy. I think Safari has something like that built in.

It doesn't visually, but if you right click outside the page after hitting ctrl a it gives the option for view selection source.

It's basically an embed with this swf.

Ok, there's a "View Selection Source" on the popup menu... which just shows me the exact same thing View Source does: the JavaScript code.

Go ahead and make a page that embeds that .swf and tell me how well that works for you. Oh, how about that, it doesn't. You need the JS-generated args to the embed tag too.

I did try it.. that's where I got the name of the swf, the added code was actually

But it still doesn't work when I paste it into another page, even when I correct the src= url to be fully qualified, or when I add a <base href>. I again get the player but no video.

It's probably that allowscriptaccess="sameDomain" thing or some kind of check on referrer since clicking on the swf link directly works (for me anyway).

Anyway that's why I just fished it out of my cache and stuck it up on youtube.
