If you weren't one of the thirty people to see Dandi Wind last night at Bottom of the Hill, you screwed up. That was one of the most entertaining shows I've seen in a long time. They were a guy playing keyboards and a girl dancing like a spastic monkey. She was radiating Nina Hagen levels of crazy the whole time, it was awesome. I wish the Centro camera wasn't so utterly worthless: Also re-discovered on my phone: here's bathroom graffiti from some random Mission bar from a few weeks ago: |

I actually feel as though I missed something. :(
HAHAHAHAHA... Oh Man! That is the best graffiti EVARRRR!!
What amazed me about the beards is that suddenly, like in the matter of weeks, they appeared as if by magic. Where these guys when they were growing their 3-4 inch beards? It was like everyone went from being clean-shaven to sporting farmer john dealies in a couple of weeks.
Say what? English, do you speak it?
Dandi Wind may have the best Myspace profile photo ever. The hat, I cannot stop watching...
Agreed. My hunch is that they're from Victoria BC but I'd be interested to find out for certain. Anyone know?
What is a mission bar, anyway? I can't seem to find a Wikipedia entry with that title.
From several thousand miles away, I'm fairly sure a "mission bar" is a bar in the Mission district of San Franciso.

Yes.
Let me give you a rundown: I live down the street from several, and while I do not approve when the patrons piss in my street, I do at least understand not wanting to deal with the bathrooms. I just wish we could teach them to pee in the gutter or on the trees, because their false modesty impels them to pee on cars or buildings. | |
