Two obsolete audio formats in one... the VinylDisc "The VinylDisc is a combination audio CD and special record. It consists of two attached layers. The silver layer contains digital audio information, while the black upper layer can be played on every record player."

Since when is the audio CD obsolete? Sure, MP3 players are more prominent, but CDs still make up the majority of album sales.

Audio CDs are obsolete for anyone that has a computer, an internet connection, and an mp3 player.

Yeah. I totally ignored the fact that when I bought my mp3 player, I imported all of my CDs to it.
Oops.

Rrriiiight. That's what you do with an obsolete format. You import it onto something that's not obsolete.

This would be the real deal with a laserdisc on one side and phonograph on the other.
OK, so we actually press vinyl that ships with our software to let users play back their MP3s. So to me, and I am willing to admit I could be in a minority here, that is the coolest thing ever.
Just me then? Ah. OK.
Serato? Or similar?
If so, then yes, that is cool as hell. | |
