I think I've just listened to "Amaryllis in the Sprawl" about 25 times in a row.

An astonishingly good album overall, isn't it? I keep coming back to 'Bittersweet', myself.

I bought this album when you pointed it out, and I'm very happy with it!

I've just found their Trench EP and I think I listened to "Accretions" about 19 times. It reminds me of a better version of "Lined Up." ---And what the hell is going ON in this video anyway??? Some kind of proto-Burning Man madness. (YouTube has another HIDEOUS live version of - DO NOT CLICK THIS LINK - Only the Police could fuck up their own song so bad. Don't click THAT link either.)

"Tench", not "Trench". I'd never seen that Lined Up video! It's, uh... yeah.

The live Lined Up looks to be from the Big Night Music tour in 86, which is actually the only time I managed to see them live (until the Barry Andrews solo show at Du Nord a couple years ago). That 86 show was actually really good, but they were already leaning in the direction that led to the execrable Go Bang album... And let us never speak of that again.

The Reptiles and I and Feelers are a lot better renditions from that same show.

That track is my favourite cycling-home-in-the-dark music.
