George Bush, Halle Berry share worst film honors

Halle Berry was named worst actress of 2004 by the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation for her performance in "Catwoman" and she showed up to accept her "Razzie" carrying the Oscar she won in 2002 for "Monster's Ball."

"They can't take this away from me, it's got my name on it!" she quipped. A raucous crowd cheered her on as she gave a stirring recreation of her Academy Award acceptance speech, including tears.

She thanked everyone involved in "Catwoman," a film she said took her from the top of her profession to the bottom.

"I want to thank Warner Brothers for casting me in this piece of shit," she said as she dragged her agent on stage and warned him "next time read the script first."

I think her worst act was a hit and run accident, where she was the driver and ran, and the victim was seriously hurt.

Yeah. She's a type 1 diabetic (as am I), and she initially blamed the accident(and her behavior) on insulin shock. Sigh. She did later apologize and make restitutions.

Damn, I knew I should have kept my Razzie membership current. I was at the awards a couple of years ago when Tom Green showed up to accept for Freddie Got Fingered. Good times.

I'm trying to imagine a joint vehicle for the two of them.

I suddenly have a modicum of respect for her now. It's an unfamiliar feeling.

That's exactly what I was thinking. I'm impressed by this. I didn't think it was in the realm of possibility that something like that could even be conidered happening.

I still hated that blubbering tear factory shit she pulled, but...hrm.

It's all her agent's fault? Huh?

Reality inserts itself in...

Before we gush over with hesitant respect for her over this, let's just recognize that she brought her Oscar with her...

And I heave a feeling that if she could, she would wear the damned thing around her neck like Flavor Flav.

I saw Catwoman. Sue me, I argued against it but my SO was a Halle Berry fan. Anyway, Halle Berry's acting was actually okay. It was the script and direction and special effects that were completely retarded.

Michael Caine likes to say he's never done terrible movies, but he's appeared in them. It's true, even in sucky pictures he's still putting in an honest day's work.
